The Lycée Hélène Boucher occupies a sprawling red brick complex on the Cours de Vincennes, easily identified by its distinctive Art Deco architecture and the rhythmic geometry of its high, arched windows. Opened in nineteen thirty-six, the school was designed by architect Olivier Lahalle to handle a growing number of students in eastern Paris. He gave the structure a modern, industrial feel that departed from the traditional stone facades of the era. It remains a working secondary school, buzzing with daily academic life.
