Casque d'Or les Haies Garden

The Casque d'Or garden features a rusted metal archway framing the entrance, a nod to the area's industrial past. It occupies land once owned by Marie la Casque d'Or, a legendary figure of the Belle Epoque. She earned her nickname from her golden hair and ran a popular dance hall nearby. Long after the music stopped and the buildings were cleared, the city turned this quiet patch into a neighborhood retreat. Local children still play among the trees where her patrons once danced.
