Hôpital Européen Georges-Pompidou

The Hôpital Européen Georges-Pompidou serves as a specialized center for modern medicine in the fifteenth arrondissement. It officially opened in two thousand one after a fifteen-year development process that consolidated services from three older Parisian medical institutions, namely the Boucicaut, Broussais, and Laennec hospitals. The architect Aymeric Zublena designed the facility around a central, three-level internal street covered by a glass roof, which allows natural light to reach deep into the hospital’s core. This design prioritizes a sense of comfort and orientation for patients and staff alike as they navigate the large complex.
