Fête à Neuneu

The Fête à Neuneu began with a formal imperial decree signed by Napoleon Bonaparte on June 10, 1815. The Emperor authorized this annual fair to take place in the commune of Neuilly to promote the sale of all types of merchandise. What started as a commercial event quickly evolved into a popular spectacle that drew crowds for over a century, famously bridging the gap between the working class and the wealthy elite who lived in the area.
