Petite Ceinture du 16e (PC 16)

park garden

You are walking along a path that once served as a vital industrial artery for the city. This specific section of the Petite Ceinture was part of the Auteuil line, which began operation in the mid-nineteenth century. Unlike other parts of this former circular railway that still feature rusted tracks or gravel beds, this stretch in the sixteenth arrondissement has been transformed into a clean, manicured nature trail. The original rails were removed here, leaving a wide, quiet walkway that carves a surprisingly rural corridor through the heart of one of the densest urban landscapes in Europe.
