Gare de La Rapée

The Gare de La Rapée was built in eighteen sixty-two as a critical piece of industrial infrastructure for Paris. It functioned as a specialized freight station designed to serve the massive Bercy wine warehouses located nearby. The facility was unique in its construction, featuring two levels stacked one above the other to manage the heavy volume of goods arriving by rail.
