Jardin des Géants

The Jardin des Géants occupies a former parking lot near the Lille Europe train station. Its defining feature is a series of massive, sculpted wicker heads that emerge from the lawn, some reaching over six meters in height. These woven giants were created to evoke the traditional folklore figures of northern France and Belgium, which appear in local processions. The garden designers integrated these sculptures into a landscape of water mirrors and native plants, turning an industrial concrete space into a surreal, modern park.
