CCI Grand Lille

The brick tower of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lille rises two hundred and fifty feet above the street, topped by a slender, copper-clad clock spire. Built in the early twentieth century, this headquarters serves the regional business community. In nineteen twenty-one, during the frantic post-war reconstruction of the city, architect Louis-Marie Cordonnier designed this Flemish Neo-Renaissance structure to replace an older exchange, incorporating intricate carvings and a prominent clock that chimes every quarter hour across the city center.
