The long, thin rectangle of Parc Jean-Baptiste Lebas sits between two major roads, defined by its flat, expansive lawn and straight rows of younger trees. Before two thousand seven, this space served as a fenced-off, industrial rail yard serving the nearby Saint-Sauveur station. Landscape architect Alexandre Chemetoff erased the tracks and turned the yard into a public garden. He kept the site's original dimensions, which is why the park stretches out like a long, narrow ribbon of grass and gravel paths.
