Le Tripostal

The concrete facade of Le Tripostal stretches along the train tracks, marked by a rhythmic grid of narrow, rectangular windows that once lit a massive sorting floor. Built in the early nineteen fifties, this building functioned as the central hub for handling mail for the entire northern region of France. Bags of letters arrived by rail and moved through mechanical sorting lines on these floors. Today, it hosts large-scale art exhibitions inside the hollowed-out space where the machinery once hummed.
