The site you are approaching was once home to one of the most significant industrial operations in Pantin. Established in 1876 on the former grounds of a tannery, the tobacco factory became the driving force of the local economy. It transformed this part of the city, spurring the development of new housing, local infrastructure, and even a dedicated tramway line to support the hundreds of workers who labored here.
