The facade of Ainmillerstraße twenty-two features an intricate stucco relief of a woman’s face framed by flowing, stylized hair. This building is a prime example of the Munich Jugendstil movement from the turn of the twentieth century. Architect Martin Dülfer designed the structure in eighteen ninety-nine, stripping away the heavy, historicist ornamentation common to the neighborhood. Instead, he emphasized clean lines and organic, flowing motifs, signaling a shift in how Munich residents wanted their homes to appear and feel.
