Shree Dhanwantari Aushadhalay occupies a narrow storefront in Bapu Bazar where the scent of dried herbs and ground spices spills onto the sidewalk. Since the late nineteen fifties, the shop has served as a center for Ayurvedic medicine. While the bustling bazaar outside trades in colorful textiles and jewelry, this space focuses on traditional roots, barks, and mineral powders. Jagdish Prasad Pareek started this practice, and his family continues to weigh out remedies behind the glass counter just as he once did.
