Isarlat Sargasooli is a seven story tower built of yellow sandstone that rises directly from the crowded streets of Kanwar Nagar. Maharaja Ishwari Singh commissioned this minaret in seventeen forty nine to commemorate his victory in the battle of Rajmahal. The tower features a unique spiral staircase that winds up the interior core. After Ishwari Singh died by snakebite in the palace, his twenty one wives and concubines walked up these steps to perform sati, ending their own lives to join him.
