The Sireh Deori Gate stands as a primary stone entrance to the City Palace complex in Jaipur. Its name translates to the gateway of the sireh, or the head of the procession, marking the path where royal carriages once began their journeys. In seventeen ninety-nine, the construction of the Hawa Mahal just beyond this gate turned the surrounding street into a grand viewing corridor. Royal guards once stood here, regulating who entered the walled city to seek an audience with the Maharaja.
