Jalebi Chowk sits at the edge of the City Palace complex, framed by a series of symmetrical red sandstone facades with arched entrances. It served as the primary gathering point for the royal guards and the public during the processions of the Jaipur maharajas. On days of festival, the square filled with performers and merchants selling the syrupy, spiral-shaped sweets that gave the plaza its name. These days, the open courtyard remains a quiet space for visitors entering the main palace gates.
