Pałac Kazimierzowski

The building features a long, pale yellow facade with a white, triangular pediment sitting above the central entrance. This structure served as the summer residence for King Wladyslaw the Fourth in the seventeenth century. During the Swedish Deluge, soldiers stripped the palace bare, leaving only the walls. Later, it housed a school for knights, where a young Tadeusz Kosciuszko trained. Today, the palace forms the heart of the University of Warsaw, holding the office of the rector inside its quiet, reconstructed halls.
