Kanonia is a triangular square tucked behind the walls of Saint John’s Archcathedral. You can recognize it by the single, oversized bronze bell sitting in the center of the pavement. For centuries, this was the graveyard of the parish church. In the seventeenth century, a local man cast this bell with the hope that anyone who turned it three times would have their wishes granted. Most people today settle for spinning it once, leaving their secrets to the quiet, cobblestone corner.
