İBB Sanatkarlar Parkı

The İBB Sanatkarlar Parkı sits on a steep slope, defined by a zig-zagging concrete ramp that cuts through a cluster of mature trees. Before it became a public park, this hillside held a dense network of houses and workshops that were cleared during mid-twentieth century urban expansion projects. It left a patch of empty, sloping ground in the middle of a crowded neighborhood. Now, the narrow pathways wind between the greenery, connecting the upper streets of Cihangir directly down to the waterfront.
