The Beatles Statues

The four bronze figures standing on the Mersey waterfront capture John, Paul, George, and Ringo mid-stride, dressed in the suits they wore during their final visit to Liverpool in nineteen sixty-five. Sculptor Andy Edwards modeled the statues after archival photographs, ensuring the band members appear as they did at the height of their fame. The statues were a gift from the operators of the Cavern Club, positioned here to face the river, where the boys once caught ferries toward their futures in Hamburg and beyond.
