The Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters clubhouse features a polished brass plaque by the front door, marking the home of a group that began in nineteen sixty-six. These radio veterans gathered to keep the golden age of broadcasting alive long after television took over the airwaves. Every month, members hold luncheon meetings where they present the Art Gilmore Excellence in Radio Award. It remains a rare private sanctuary where the people who built the medium of radio continue to tell their own stories.
