The white tower with the large, vertical sign reading Sunset Bronson Studios stands where the Warner Brothers made history. In nineteen twenty-three, Sam, Harry, Albert, and Jack Warner opened their first independent studio lot here. They filmed the first talking picture, The Jazz Singer, inside these walls. The original sound stages still occupy the property, though the bustling film production has evolved into a modern center for broadcast television. A massive mural of a film strip now wraps around the eastern wall.
