Harvey Milk opened this shop as a photography business in nineteen seventy-three. He used the back room as a campaign headquarters for his runs for public office, transforming the space into an organizing hub for the neighborhood. It served as a nerve center where activists gathered to coordinate local political strategy, effectively turning a camera store into the foundation of his movement.
