The Valley Project is a wall of hand-painted wine maps spanning over forty feet inside a former grocery store. Artist Armando Martinez spent three years translating complex soil surveys and climate data into these illustrations. He wanted to show how the unique geography of Santa Barbara County creates such distinct wines in different pockets of the region. Visitors now use these panels to trace the path of ancient seabed deposits that define the local vineyards today. It is a guide to the ground.
