Courtney's Place

other

Courtney's Place sits in a quiet corner of Old Town with a weathered wooden porch and a distinct lack of fanfare. It operates as a low-key guest house, but before it welcomed tourists, the building served as a cigar maker's cottage during the late nineteenth century. Back then, it was part of a bustling industry where artisans hand-rolled tobacco while listening to professional readers recite newspapers and novels aloud to keep them focused. The cigar makers eventually moved, leaving these small cottages behind.
