Hawaii Army Museum Society

The Hawaii Army Museum occupies Battery Randolph, a massive concrete bunker with walls twelve feet thick. Built in nineteen oh nine to protect Honolulu Harbor, the structure features two embrasures designed to hold long-range disappearing guns. During the attack on Pearl Harbor, these guns were already obsolete, and the bunker functioned as an observation post. Today, the space houses military artifacts that document Hawaii’s defense history, including the personal stories of soldiers who served here during the twentieth century.
