Paul Revere Mall

The Paul Revere Mall features a long, brick-paved walkway framed by rows of trees and bronze statues, leading directly toward the Old North Church. It sits on the site of a former cattle path and later a crowded residential alleyway that the city cleared during the nineteen thirties. Architect Arthur Shurcliff designed this space to provide a dignified approach to the church. A bronze equestrian statue of Paul Revere stands at the far end, facing the church he famously signaled in seventeen seventy-five.
