St Anthony of Padua Society

other

A weathered brick facade stands on Endicott Street, distinguished by a fading gold sign that reads Saint Anthony of Padua Society. This building houses a mutual aid organization founded in nineteen oh two by immigrants from Montefalcione, Italy. When new arrivals struggled to find work or burial funds, they pooled their money here to support each other. The society still keeps that original purpose, hosting local festivals and preserving the specific traditions of the small village their ancestors left behind a century ago.
