Mancini's Bread Co.

The Mancini’s Bread Company storefront features a large, hand-painted sign depicting a cartoon baker holding a loaf of Italian bread. James Mancini started the business in nineteen twenty-six in the basement of his McKees Rocks home. He spent his days hand-rolling dough and delivering loaves to neighbors in a horse-drawn wagon. The bakery moved to the Strip District in nineteen fifty-two, and the family kept the original brick ovens fueled by coal for decades before switching to gas.
