Parma Sausage Products features a storefront window filled with rows of dried salami, hanging hams, and prosciuttos. When Oreste Sunseri opened the shop in nineteen fifty-four, he brought his family’s curing techniques from Sicily to this brick building on Penn Avenue. His son and grandson kept the business running for decades using the original recipes and equipment. Even as the neighborhood around them shifted into coffee shops and boutiques, the shop stayed a place for buying hand-tied, salt-cured meats by the pound.
