Nashville Farmers' Market

other

A sprawling, open-air shed with a corrugated metal roof defines the Nashville Farmers' Market. Since eighteen thirty-seven, city officials have designated space for growers to sell directly to residents, moving the location several times before settling here in nineteen ninety-five. When the current market opened, it was designed to anchor a revitalization project for the north side of downtown. Local farmers set up their stalls before dawn, trucked in their produce, and wait for the morning crowds to arrive.
