Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum rises from the Nashville skyline with a facade that mimics the black and white keys of a piano. Inside the rotunda, the names of inductees are etched into bronze plaques set into circular walls. When the museum opened in nineteen sixty-seven, it held only a handful of artifacts, including Maybelle Carter’s guitar. A janitor once famously found a discarded, priceless manuscript for a Hank Williams song in a trash can nearby and returned it to the collection.
