Cummins Station

Cummins Station is a massive, red-brick structure that stretches nearly a thousand feet along the railroad tracks. Built in nineteen eighteen to serve as a wholesale distribution hub, the building allowed local merchants to receive goods directly from rail cars pulled into the lower level. Its design relied on heavy concrete and industrial durability to support the constant movement of freight. During the nineteen thirties, the station became the heartbeat of Nashville commerce, acting as the primary loading dock for the entire city.
