The Bridge Building

The Bridge Building features a distinctive curved glass facade that mirrors the bend of the Cumberland River. It serves as the gateway to the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. Before this glass structure existed, the site held the terminal for the Tennessee Central Railway. Workers once hauled cargo from steam engines here, and the location functioned as a vital transit hub for the city. Today, the glass walls house offices, while the nearby bridge remains a heavy steel path for people walking across the water.
