Seven Hunter Street holds the remains of a Victorian-era fire station facade. Its distinctive copper-colored trim and arched windows sit flush against a modern glass tower, marking where the Metropolitan Fire Brigade operated from eighteen eighty-eight until nineteen sixty-seven. When the city replaced the old station, architects kept the front wall to maintain the street's historical character. Passersby still see the original stone carvings above the doors, where the fire brigade’s emblem remains carved into the sandstone.
