Byron Hall is a grand, five-story residential building featuring an imposing, curved cream facade that sweeps around the corner of Macleay and Greenoak streets. Built in nineteen twenty-six, it replaced a Victorian villa of the same name. During the nineteen thirties, this building became a home for high-society residents and local artists, drawing those who wanted a glamorous lifestyle above the harbor. Its distinctive curved windows remain as they were when the first tenants arrived nearly a century ago.
