Tumbalong Park

Tumbalong Park features a long, shallow water play area where jets of water arc across the concrete throughout the day. Before this park opened in nineteen eighty-eight, the land served as a busy industrial shipping hub known as Darling Harbour. Thousands of people worked the wharves, loading wool and wheat onto steamships. Now, the heavy machinery is gone, and the ground holds a flat expanse of green lawn and walkways that intentionally mirror the shape of the old waterfront docks.
