The White Rabbit Gallery sits behind a dark, unassuming brick facade in Chippendale, marked only by its name in simple, clean lettering. Inside, four floors of industrial space house one of the world’s largest collections of contemporary Chinese art. Judith Neilson founded this gallery after she visited Beijing and felt overwhelmed by the raw energy of the work she encountered. She began buying pieces on the spot, eventually filling a converted warehouse with thousands of works by artists born after the year two thousand.
