Sandridge Bridge

The Sandridge Bridge is defined by the massive, metallic sculptures of people marching across its span, frozen in mid-stride. Completed in eighteen eighty-eight, this iron structure once carried steam trains into the heart of Melbourne. Today, it serves as a pedestrian walkway, carrying the weight of the city's migration history. The sculptures represent the various waves of immigrants who arrived in Australia.
