Place de la Trinité

landmark

The Place de la Trinité features a triangular fountain topped by a bronze statue of a woman holding a trident. This square sits at the intersection of three historic streets in the heart of Toulouse. In the sixteenth century, the city council placed a wooden cross here to mark the site, but that structure vanished long ago. By the mid-nineteenth century, the architect Urbain Vitry designed the current fountain to serve the local neighborhood, drawing water from the Garonne River through a network of pipes.
