Raymond VI Garden

The Raymond VI Garden sits on a steep slope between the red brick wall of the La Grave hospital and the Garonne River. It features a long, wide wooden deck that offers a view of the water and the historic dome nearby. Before it became a public park in the nineteen nineties, the area served as the hospital's laundry yard. Patients once hung sheets to dry here, overlooking the current where the city’s tanners used to wash leather in the middle ages.
