Tour Michelet stands as a deliberate departure from the uniform, monolithic skyscraper designs that once defined this business district. Completed in 1985, the building is actually a hybrid structure composed of two distinct, identical towers linked by a central section. Architects Jean Willerval, Henri La Fonta, and Branco Vulic chose this segmented volume to give the impression of several smaller buildings joined together. You can see this effect on the facade, where the patterns frequently shift between horizontal stripes and clean grid lines to break up the mass of the tower.
