The Musée du Flipper, or Paris Pinball Museum, occupies a quiet space on a side street in the eighteenth arrondissement. A collection of dozens of vintage machines fills the room, their glowing backglasses and polished chrome bumpers packed tightly together. Most of these cabinets date from the nineteen fifties to the nineteen eighties. The museum started as a passion project for a small group of enthusiasts who wanted to keep these mechanical games functional and playable, rather than tucked away in private basements.
