Parc des Princes

The name Parc des Princes is a direct nod to the history of this land as a private hunting ground for the sons of French kings. For centuries, royalty used the area to stroll and hunt, and the name survived the transition from forest to urban space. It was not until the late nineteenth century that the site shifted from a regal retreat to a venue for public sport.
