Street Art Le Long

landmark

Rue Dénoyez is a dead-end street in Belleville covered in layers of paint from ground to roof. Walls, shutters, and even trash cans serve as canvases for a rotating gallery of street art. While the city of Paris cleans graffiti elsewhere, this street remains a legal zone for artists to spray, paint, and experiment. A local man named Cyril Couet once operated a gallery here, helping turn this narrow passage into an open-air studio that survives despite the pressure of neighborhood gentrification.
