Place de Sydney

Place de Sydney is a relatively modern addition to the Parisian landscape, receiving its name on May 30, 2000. Before that, it was known simply as the Place d Australie. The renaming was a specific gesture to honor a pact of friendship between Paris and the Australian city of Sydney.
