Square Garibaldi sits at the intersection of Rue de Grenelle and Boulevard des Invalides, marked by a bronze statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi standing atop a stone pedestal. The Italian general gazes toward the street, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. Sculptor Aimé Millet cast the figure in eighteen seventy-eight, just years after the leader of the Risorgimento passed away. The park creates a small pocket of trees and benches amidst the dense stone buildings of the seventh arrondissement.
