Square Nicole de Hauteclocque

The Square Nicole de Hauteclocque sits behind a high, wrought-iron fence, marked by a dense cluster of trees that loom over the street. It occupies the former site of the old Grenelle railway station, which served the Parisian belt line until the middle of the twentieth century. When the tracks were abandoned, city planners transformed the hollowed-out space into this public garden. Today, it bears the name of a local politician who served on the Paris Council for over twenty years.
