Clemenceau Museum

The Clemenceau Museum sits behind a modest facade on Rue Benjamin Franklin, distinguished by a quiet, ivy-covered garden that feels entirely removed from the city streets. This was the apartment of Georges Clemenceau for thirty-three years. He moved here in eighteen ninety-five and lived in these rooms until his death in nineteen twenty-nine. The space retains his desk, his collection of Japanese masks, and the simple iron bed where the man who led France through the First World War spent his final years.
