Église Notre-Dame-de-Grâce-de-Passy

The Église Notre-Dame-de-Grâce-de-Passy stands out for its tall, slender bell tower topped with a distinct, sharp spire that reaches toward the sky above the neighborhood. It began as a small chapel in the seventeenth century to serve the village of Passy when the area was still separated from Paris by fields. When the architect Henri Parent took on the major renovation in the eighteen hundreds, he encased the original structure within this neo-Gothic shell, hiding the older walls behind new stone.
